b) DNA.
2. a) Write the importance of studying Cytology, Pathology and plant breeding in forestry practice?
b) Briefly describe the process of fruits and seeds dispersal with example from forest trees.
c) Mention the special features of fruit/seed dispersal mechanisms in mangrove forest in Bangladesh.
3. a) What is pollination?
b) Give example of three tree species each from Hill forest, Plain land forest and Mangrove forest of Bangladesh that are pollinated by insects.
c) Write the advantages of cross pollination over self pollination.
d) Self pollination is almost certain in some bi-sexual flowers-justify.
4. a) Describe the process of fertilization of higer plants with necessary figure.
b) What are the special characteristics of “Halophytic plants”-explain with examples.
c) Distinguish between Hydrophytes and Xerophytes.
