Wind break:

HTML clipboard

Tea plants may occasionally be damaged by storm and high wind. Winds blowing over tea plants increase the loss of moisture by evaporation from the leaf- surface. The greater the speed of the wind the lager the losses will be, especially during dry weather. To protect tea from such high wind, storm or turbulence flowing over hills, Up-valley, the use of some trees as wind break is common in many countries.

In Bangladesh, Accacia auriculiformis is commonly used as windbreaks. ( Sana, 1989.)
